A man was placed in pre-trial detention this Wednesday for having attempted to rape a student in her Crous accommodation in Stains (Seine-Saint-Denis), it has been learned The Figaro with the Bobigny prosecutor’s office, confirming information from 20 Minutes. The investigating judge, seized upon request from the prosecutor’s office, charged him with rape and attempted rape. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Stains police station.
Ben M., a 27-year-old Algerian, was arrested for attempted rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and blackmail. During his hearings, the perpetrator admitted the facts. “Listening to his speech, he was clearly there to rape her”confides a source close to the case who specifies that Ben M. was already known for acts of rape and sexual assault. “He’s a serial rapist”says the same source.
