Thourotte Cultural Center: open house and launch of the season with “Carambolage”

The Thourotte cultural space opens its doors on Sunday, September 22, for a family event entitled “Carambolage”.

This is the first time we are launching our cultural season in this way. ” explains Emilie Saffon, responsible for public relations.

This event highlights all the activities offered by the city’s cultural service: from activities for toddlers to live shows, exhibitions, cinema, media library activities and music school classes.

From 9:30 a.m., the public will be able to take over the place for a kids’ movie, from 3 years old. “Little tales under the ocean” offers an underwater immersion journey.

Guided tour on the history of the cultural space

At 10:30 a.m., Laurent Fournier will offer a guided tour on the history of the cultural space within the Saint-Gobain workers’ city, in connection with the European Heritage Days.

All morning, the music school teachers will be present to introduce their instruments. They will conclude the morning with an aperitif concert on the Terrasse à Lire of the cultural space. “It’s a place that we want to invest more and more,” explains Emilie Saffon.

This will be the case from 4 p.m. with the show “Barrière” by the juggler Gorky and the musician Franck Willekens: humor, juggling, music and songs from 8 years old. Before the performance, it will be possible to discover the exhibition “Les Invisibles” in the presence of the artist Marie Van de Walle. A work around ecological art that restores their letters of nobility to plants unjustly called “weeds”.

The artist Marie Van de Walle will be present to present her works.

The cultural space team will be present throughout the day to explain the year’s projects. It will also be possible to book tickets for the season’s shows. “Some are already almost sold out!” says Emilie Saffon.
