Beach tennis is committed

The French Open is an eco-responsible event. On site, waste sorting, collection of used balls, plastic caps and recovery of food waste will be set up. For the first time, a third waste stream will even be included in the tournament’s sorting system: a bin made available to the public will be present to collect all leftovers or food waste recovered into energy thanks to the new methanizer installed by the town hall.

In addition, Lamotte-Beuvron will also be involved in the food supply. A supply from local producers in Loir-et-Cher and , or vegetables from the urban farm project to promote the conservation of agricultural land in urban areas and involved in an ecological approach that respects nature. A vegetarian offer will also be systematically proposed by the tournament organization.

In addition, a collection bin for Operation Yellow Ball will be made available to those who wish to give a second life to their used balls. This will also be the case for tournament balls that are too damaged. The others will be reused during training or by the tennis club. An ideal way for the entire competition to take place in an atmosphere of respect for the premises.
