It’s a story everyone has been talking about during the 2024 season of Dance with the stars. Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier had argued backstage during rehearsals. The singer had even filed several charges against the comedian. The story gained considerable momentum on social networks. Several months later, Inès Reg agreed to come back to this with LiikTv. She admitted to having made mistakes and having contributed to her own bad buzz.

“From the moment I talk about it, I make it a subject”

“I think I screwed up. I think that if I had never spoken about it, it would have slipped. I spoke about it because I was starting to receive a lot of death threats and stuff, because it had started to get crazy headlines,” she began to explain. “From the moment I talk about it, I make it a subject. Whereas as long as I didn’t talk about it and it was only in the media, as long as I didn’t calculate this group of people who insulted me, I think it could have slipped. That’s where my mistake lies,” she admitted. Indeed, the comedian had published a long story on his Instagram account to tell his version of the facts. Videos which have been repeated numerous times in the media.

“I contributed to my bad buzz”

Still with LiikTv, she then recognized and realized that having spoken about it in this way in the media had only made the situation worse. “I think I contributed to my bad buzz. Honestly, I could have done without it. But yes, talking about me… There’s an expression like that: ‘Whether you talk about me well or badly, in any case, you’re talking about me'”, she explained. The story had taken on such proportions that the tension remained palpable between the two participants throughout the competition. Moreover, Inès Reg did not congratulate the singer, winner of this last edition. The comedian did not specify whether today, the reports had calmed down somewhat. In any case, she remembers the lesson well if it means starting again: not to talk about it on social networks, and “let slide.” So she doesn’t make it an issue.
