After the last play of the 41st Kerhervy amateur theatre festival in Lanester, the various juries took to the stage of the open-air amphitheatre on Saturday 29 June, shortly before midnight, to unveil the 2024 prize list.

The Boréales’s company from Chartres-de-Bretagne (35) has won its ticket to the national amateur theatre festival in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire (Indre-et-Loire), which will be held from 26 October to 2 November. The company was one of seven troupes applying for this festival. The jury fell under the spell of “The reunification of the two Koreas” by Joël Pommerat, a play presented on Sunday 23 June.

The favorite soon at Quai 9

In case of impediment, the jury chose as substitute the Compagnie Pré en bulles from Lanester who came to perform “Tous mes rêves partent de garde d’Austerlitz” by Mohamed Kacimi. The jury also awarded a 3rd prize “out of competition” to the Artiteiz company from Theix for “Le jardin d’Alphonse” by Didier Caron.

La Fontaine aux chevaux awarded its “Kerhervy favorite” to the play “Ce joli rossignol qui toujours revient” from the Puces nantaises. “The company will be invited to come and perform the play again at Quai 9 this fall,” said Jérôme Aguerre, the festival president. This same play was awarded the young audience prize. Finally, the jury of the City of Lanester highlighted the play “Les femmes de Barbe bleu”, a creation by the Compagnie des Arts croisés de Fouesnant (29).
