The Saint-Léger-sur-Roanne association, Culturons Demain, is organizing an open-air evening at the Sevrac stadium this Friday, July 5.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m., with a free concert by The Incredible Segfault Orchestra, whose 16 musicians and singers will perform 90 minutes of wild covers. On the menu, Pharrell Williams, the Blues Brothers, Pink Martini, Amy Winehouse and many others, for an atmosphere that is at once jazz, funk and electro. The group has composed a festive and danceable set especially for the evening that should get a few people off their chairs.

Then, as soon as night falls, around 10 p.m., the trumpets and guitars will fall silent and the gigantic 120 m² screen installed on the stadium will light up for a free open-air cinema session. Spectators will be able to settle into the deckchairs installed on the lawn, or, if all the places are taken, bring their blankets or seats, to enjoy the cartoon chosen by the school children. On the screen the size of a building, the students invited parents to watch Mario Bros.

People have missed the sun, we hope to offer them a real moment of conviviality and kindness.

“We want to show that Saint-Léger is a dynamic village. What we’re doing has never been done before, not on this scale,” says Rémy Rondelet, president of the Culturons Demain association. “We dreamed of a moment of popular culture, non-elitist, for parents and adults alike. And above all 100% free! We take care of everything, all you have to do is bring your children, your family or your friends. People have missed the sun, we hope to offer them a real moment of conviviality and kindness, far from the current hustle and bustle. They can even come for an after-party after work.”
