That’s it, season 8 of Married at first sight came to an end on Monday June 24. We then learned that Loïc and Ophélie did not confirm their marriage. The young woman returned to her adventure within the program on the set of Buzz Tv on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 and notably revealed what she thought of Loïc the very first time she saw him at the altar in Gibraltar. A first impression that was not necessarily positive… nor negative either.

“It wasn’t my style of man”

“Physically, he wasn’t my style of man”she confided. “But I always said that I didn’t want to stop there. My style is more tall, strong and rather blond men. I focused on this 79% compatibility, a little too much perhaps.” she explains. And adds: “When you later realize that the person is not right for you, you are disappointed and angry. I can’t see the common ground I had with him.” Even though her marriage to Loïc didn’t work out, she doesn’t regret taking part in the programme. According to her, this experience will help her build her future relationships.

“I need to open up more”

With the help of the experts, Ophélie was able to learn a lot about herself and the blockages that prevent her from moving forward in her relationships. “I could see that I remained very vigilant and on my guard. I need to open up more. I am someone who feels very alone,” she confided, before specifying: “In my single life, I enjoy this independence and, when I meet someone, it only takes one detail that annoys me for me to stop everything.” Now that she’s been in the media spotlight, she’s afraid men won’t approach her for the right reasons: “That was my biggest fear that it would be even harder to find someone if it didn’t work out. To only have men who were only interested in looks and not personality.” And to conclude: “Since the start of broadcasting on M6, I have only received requests via my social networks, not face-to-face.”
