At the age of 20, Bordeaux opera singer Amandine Portelli has just been selected to join the prestigious Paris Opera Academy. Having just graduated from the Bordeaux Conservatory, she gave her last concert on June 25 before continuing her training in Paris.

“For everyone, the Opéra Garnier is the symbol of the dream of music, dance, and the arts in general. Entering this house is an immense opportunity!” At the age of 20, Amandine was selected and will join the prestigious Paris National Opera Academy in September. His immense smile conveys the passion and enthusiasm that this prospect gives him.

A few minutes earlier, the 20-year-old woman presented a completely different face. Concentrated and determined, carried by the baroque ensemble “Les Surprises”, she was rehearsing Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus for his last concert in Bordeaux, his hometown.


Listening to her teacher, she has more than just the talent: the voice, but also the strength to work. “She’s a hard worker!” assure Alexis Duffaure. “She has been singing and playing music since she was very little. So it’s a language that speaks to her!” The Choirmaster and Musical Director of the Maîtrise de Bordeaux is full of praise for the lyrical singer who joined the girls’ choir at the age of eight.

The singer is gifted, quickly became a soloist and joined the Bordeaux Conservatory in 2019. From 2020, at barely sixteen years old, she took on several solo roles. Mozart, Tillion, Rossini and Bach… Selected to participate in the first Academy of the Bordeaux National Opera, she performed the title role of Dido and Aeneas by Purcell on the stage of the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux in February 2023, then continues his collaboration with the ONBA.
Last year, in November 2023, Amandine Portelli made her debut on the stage of the Opéra Garnier in the roles of the Cat and the Squirrel in The Child and the Spells by Ravel, under the direction of Patrick Lange.

She is an artist with a capital A. She has great artistic intelligence!
