The Somesax quartet invites you next Friday to the courtyard of the media library for a wild evening with a special guest.

Friday July 5 at 8pm, in the courtyard of the Guiraude de Laurac media library in Lavaur, the Pastel en scène association invites the Somesax quartet and Gregory Daltin for a jazz evening and a cocktail dinner. Somesax is a saxophone quartet with diverse influences, mixing improvised music and jazz, in a search for new encounters. It is composed of four saxophones: David Haudrechy soprano, Alexandre Galinié alto, David Pautric tenor, Gaël Pautric baritone. These four musicians have decided to invite the accordionist Grégory Daltin for a series of concerts, notably in Lavaur. This mixture of saxophones and accordion is part of original compositions and arrangements, created for the occasion. This association is part of chamber music and jazz improvisation, in an original and ambitious style.

Virtuoso soloists

Musician and arranger, David Pautric studied at the Toulouse Conservatory, where he obtained the Gold Medal in saxophone and chamber music. He pursued his career as an artist alongside that of a teacher. He plays with various orchestras and jazz groups including Somesax, TonTon Salut Jazz Unit, Big Band Brass and Offground Tag. Grégory Daltin, also trained at the Toulouse Conservatory, became an assistant professor at the Bordeaux Conservatory, then at the CRR and the Toulouse Higher Institute of Arts. A solo musician in classical, contemporary, jazz and improvised music programs, he has notably collaborated with the Orchestre National du Capitole.
