When he was hired as director in the summer of 2015, the mission entrusted to Thierry Pahud was simple: save Andréfleurs. Three years later, the garden center was back in the black. And the situation of the oldest garden center in the canton has continued to improve since then.

The board of directors of this company, owned by Landi Gros-de-Vaud since 2011, however, decided to part ways with its director, who was also director of the joint Landi store. He will leave his position on June 30. The news was communicated to staff last March, but nothing had filtered out until then.

Contacted, the chairman of the boards of directors of Andréfleurs and Landi Gros-de-Vaud, Philippe Mermoud, confirms. And first emphasizes that “it is thanks to his skills and his commitment that Thierry Pahud raised the economic situation of the company, also successfully going through the ordeal of Covid”.

Differences of opinion

“We were very happy with the work carried out and, in general, to have had him at our side for the last nine years,” continues the farmer from Poliez-le-Grand. But we have arrived at a stabilization phase where we encounter differences of opinion regarding the future. It’s not easy for us to part ways with Thierry and we hope he quickly finds a new challenge to take on.”

For his part, Thierry Pahud recalls that upon his arrival, the Assens site lost 1 million francs over the last financial year. “For me, what matters is the work done with the teams and which allowed Andréfleurs to regain its notoriety.” And to remember that when 50th anniversary festivities of the garden in 2022, those responsible were able to announce an increase in attendance of 25% and an increase in turnover of 32% since 2015.
