Until September 14, 2024, Richard Fauguet exhibits, in the Marcel-Duchamp gallery of the Châteauroux School of Fine Arts, his artistic achievements under the title Go back ? His works, sometimes surprisingly original, respond to original creative concepts.

Art and sport

A graduate of the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts, his creations, which have left their mark on the world of contemporary art, are present in the collections of many regional funds, various museums, and at the Art Concept gallery. Born in La Châtre, the artist lives in Châteauroux where he also carries out his activity. On the theme of the Cultural Olympics, Richard Fauguet’s exhibition invites you to abandon yourself for a moment in this artistic universe revealing the sporting approach.

Rackets and a ping-pong table with holes, memorizing the impact of the balls, allow spectators to try out a possible confrontation. On another sculpture, The rebound table, all the paths of a ping-pong ball during an exchange are symbolized. A gallery of portraits of women, made with a stamp on silver trays, completes this exhibition. In his speech at the opening of the exhibition, Friday June 28, Jean-François Mémin, assistant for culture, congratulated the artist for the protean designs he offers to the materials.
