Having marked several generations with her musical universe and her multiple shows, Chantal Goya was Jordan de Luxe’s ​​guest of the day in her show “Chez Jordan” this Wednesday June 26, 2024 on C8. Reflecting on her news, the 82-year-old artist revealed that she had been approached by the “Dancing with the Stars” team before being ousted to her greatest surprise. “I did it at first but I got told off because I was laughing too much. They said, ‘You’re too playful.'”Chantal Goya told her interlocutor.

“If I don’t have my legendary smile it’s not possible”

A remark that the star considers to be far-fetched. Taken aback by this criticism, Chantal Goya did not let herself be walked all over. “I said that was the secret of my success”said the singer known for her frankness. According to her rare confidences, she would have also passed the casting by distinguishing herself in dance alongside a “boy”.

“It was before and then they told me ‘No, that’s enough'”, reported Chantal Goya. “Not only was I interested in being fired because I had a big meeting and secondly because if I don’t have my legendary smile it’s not possible.”

A surprise appearance on “Mask Singer”

If her fans were not able to find her in the flagship TF1 program, they were nevertheless able to admire her in “Mask Singer” in the Popcorn costume. A great experience that she was able to have thanks to an acquaintance. “It was chance that the producer was the son of Roland Hubert who produced my first big show”, said Chantal Goya in front of the camera.

And to complete: “He asked me to do ‘Mask Singer’ through my producer and I said yes it was fun. The person who made my costumes made my first costumes in 1977. At the time she was 18 years.” A new television adventure which had the merit of enchanting her in addition to the “not insignificant” fee which was offered to her as she revealed to “Le Parisien”: “I was in a big house in Popcorn, we could fit my whole family in there. We could have put Dorothée and me.”
