Vivienne’s final public appearance came just days before their shock deaths, as they wowed fans on stage.
The sad news of the death of “the gentlest soul” James Lee Williams was confirmed on Sunday evening by publicist Simon Jones on social media.
As tributes from the showbiz world pour in for the talented star, The Vivienne’s final public appearance has been revealed.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race winner starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Blackpool last weekend.
A snap posted by an ITV boss who went to watch the 32-year-old perform as The Childcatcher showed them both smiling.
Sharing the happy memory, the content manager wrote, “Absolutely heartbreaking news about The Vivienne.
“We only saw him at Chitty in Blackpool last Sunday and he was incredible as The Child Catcher. I owned the room.
“So sad for his family, love the whole @ChittyOnTour team who are going to be in so much pain.”
The tour kicked off in April 2024 and travels from the UK.
The Vivienne’s representative, Simon Jones, announced her passing, writing: “It is with immense sadness that we inform you that our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne, passed away this weekend.
“James was an incredibly loved, warm and extraordinary person.
“Their family is heartbroken by the loss of their son, brother and uncle.
Vivienne’s final television appearance aired just days before her tragic death at the age of 32.
“They are so proud of the wonderful things James has accomplished in their lives and careers.
“We will not disclose further details.
“We please ask that James’ family be given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.”
Vivienne’s last television appearance was at Christmas, in the festive episode of Blankety Blank.
They joined Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Jane McDonald, Joel Dommett and Sara Pascoe for the festive special.
The star’s wry humor was in full swing on the show, as they gave cheeky responses that left Bradley Walsh struggling to keep a straight face.
