40 albums, and as many universes. The finalists for the French-speaking Belgium IBBY awards have just been revealed, in a bouquet of works published by 21 publishing houses – small and large – including four Belgian. A selection where each page is part of the IBBY’s mission: to bring children closer to books and help them decipher a constantly changing world.

The suspense will end on Monday January 20, at 2 p.m., when the winners are announced at the Brussels Literature Center. A public ceremony where creators and their editors could well be present, subject to their availability. An event broadcast live on the CLJBxl YouTube channel.

Once again, this third edition of the IBBY awards is supported by the Monique Martin – Gabrielle Vincent Foundation, famous for having brought to life the characters of Ernest and Célestine. A valuable contribution which underlines, once again, the importance of promoting children’s literature.
