According to our colleagues from Mayotte the 1st, the leader of the National Rally was the victim of a barge accident, these boats which form the only means of linking Basse-Terre to Petite Terre. “The speed was incredible,” reported Marine Le Pen, who was preparing to join her plane for France at the time of this accident which left 10 injured.
Marine Le Pen was on board the Chatouilleuse when the Georges Nahouda “rushed” on them. “It was almost at full power… It was incomprehensible the speed given the distance we were at. We were quite close. It could have been worse,” she assured Mayotte the 1st, while another passenger specified that they had been hit on the side of the barge. Eight people were hospitalized.
