NFL Rumors – The days go by and NFL rumors continue to flourish within the league.
This first weekend of January is marked by the last matches of the 2024 regular season but also by numerous NFL rumors which are beginning to emerge in the small circles revolving around NFL players and coaches. Little daily update on the few NFL rumors this weekend.
Any Saints interested in Matt Nagy?
Since the firing of Dennis Allen mid-season, the New Orleans Saints already know that they will have to find a new coach during the big coaching carousel of this 2025 NFL offseason. According to information shared by Dianna Russini of AthleticsThe Louisiana franchise is reportedly keeping a close eye on the possibility of hiring Matt Nagy, former head coach of the Chicago Bears and current offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not very successful during his time with the Bears, Nagy leads a Chiefs attack which does not really constitute the main force of the double defending champion team this season. But the Saints still seem interested in Nagy’s profile. Darren Rizzi, New Orleans’ current interim coach, should also have a chance to get the job full-time, like the Raiders did last season with Antonio Pierce.
Mike Vrabel at the center of desire
Black Monday, the busiest day for NFL coaches, takes place this Monday and continues to fuel NFL rumors throughout this weekend. At the center of desire is one man who is the most sought-after coach in the entire league: former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel.
A profile so in demand that teams would be ready to fire their current coach if they were sure they could hire Mike Vrabel instead. Already coveted by the New York Jets and the Chicago Bears, Vrabel will receive many more phone calls in the coming hours. But the former Titans coach has already set conditions for his hiring: healthy and direct relationships with the management of his franchise and a quarterback that he has chosen or with whom he may have an affinity!
The Bengals want to keep their fiery offense
Not everything was perfect during the Cincinnati Bengals’ 2024 NFL season, but no one can deny the immense offensive potential of this team! A potential that the team’s three main weapons, Joe Burrow, Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins, would like to keep intact according to information revealed by Ian Rapoport.
For this, the Ohio franchise will necessarily have to take out the checkbook. Tee Higgins, who plays under the franchise regime during this 2024 season, has not signed a new long-term contract. Ja’marr Chase for his part is still in his rookie contract and should ask for quite significant sums for his first major contract in the NFL given the importance of the player and his status acquired over his three years in the NFL.
But if the Cincinnati Bengals manage to keep all their offensive weapons, and at the same time manage to improve their defense, there is no doubt that we will have to count on the Tigers franchise during the next NFL seasons.
