Bike Basaklar has been appointed as the new General Director and Vice President of Novo Nordisk Türkiye.
As part of its development in Türkiye, Novo Nordisk has made several important appointments. Among them, that of Bike Basaklar, appointed General Director and Vice-President of Novo Nordisk Türkiye from January 1, 2025.
After completing a BSc in Biology at Imperial College London and a Masters in Marketing at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Basaklar began his career with the group in 2007 as a Business Analyst for the Middle region. -East, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
During her 18 years with the company, she held various leadership roles around the world, including market analyst, product manager and project manager.
In 2013, she was promoted to commercial and strategic director, and also served as CEO in Iraq. His professional career is marked by great geographic mobility and diversified expertise in the fields of marketing, operations and strategy.
Prior to this appointment, Basaklar served as Vice President of the Diabetes Portfolio within Novo Nordisk’s International Operations division.
Based in Zurich, she notably led the launch of new products and implemented initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience in the SEEMEA region (South East Europe, Middle East and Africa).
As a reminder Novo Nordisk is a Danish pharmaceutical company specializing in the research, development and marketing of drugs and medical devices for the treatment of diabetes and other endocrine diseases, including obesity, hemophilia and disorders of the growth.
