Unprecedented on television, the film “Operation Fortune: Ruse of War” with Jason Statham and Hugh Grant will be broadcast on Ciné Dimanche on TF1 on January 19, 2025 at 9:10 p.m.
The story in a few lines…
In Odessa, a gang of Ukrainian gangsters manages to steal a device known as “The Handle”. Its value is estimated at nearly $10 billion. The British government then commits Nathan Jasmine to recover the artifact before the billionaire arms dealer Greg Simmonds cannot sell it to the highest bidder. Nathan hire the super spy Orson Fortune to lead a team including the American Sarah Fidel and the young JJ Davies. The team travels to Madrid, looking for the courier to transport the hard drive containing the Handle’s data.
Their search is interrupted by a rival Nathanwho also appears to have been hired to retrieve the artifact. Sarah manages to copy the contents of the hard drive first. Learning that Simmonds plans to organize a charity gala in Cannes, the team decides to infiltrate it by blackmailing the movie star’s favorite Simmonds, Danny Francescoto help them distract Simmonds. The latter encourages Danny spending time in his Turkish villa in Antalya. Orson infiltrates the Ukrainian mafia’s house to hack into their computers, disguising the whole thing as theft. British government warns Nathan that the artifact is an advanced AI that can be programmed to defeat any security system in the world.
Learning that the exchange for the Handle will take place in Antalya, the team travels to Türkiye.
