“Our country must be provided as quickly as possible with a budget voted on by our parliamentarians,” urges Ludovic Rochette, the president of the association of elected officials.
Press release from the Association of Mayors of Côte-d’Or of December 31, 2024:
This year again, local communities have been put to the test. And as usual, the municipalities held on, because proximity is essential and efficiency characterizes them. Serenity and confidence will return to our country thanks to strengthened communities.
However, an emergency is necessary: our country must be provided as quickly as possible with a budget voted by our parliamentarians! Each day that passes deepens the current fog, and we can no longer afford it. Without a voted budget, there will be no state support for local authority investment. The latter represent two thirds of public investments and would be forced to postpone, or even abandon, projects expected by their populations, but also by businesses, often local.
For 2025, I wish for a fair budget, adopted as soon as possible!
I wish the residents of our 698 Côte-d’Oriennes communes to be happy and in good health, where they have chosen to live.
I wish our 698 municipalities a happy new year 2025, serving their fellow citizens.
Happy New Year 2025!
