“HPI”, the phenomenal series of TF1
Mark your calendars! After spending hours (even nights) devouring TV series in 2024, the year 2025 will not give you any respite. New releases, sequels, latest seasons, we have selected for you five series that you should not miss.
“Erica”, January 6 on TF1
Notice to thrill seekers. TF1 will kick offErica this Monday, January 6. The series of six fifty-two minute episodes immerses us in the world of Camilla Läckberg, the queen of Swedish crime fiction. Adaptation of three successful novels (The ice princess, The preacher et The stonemason), it follows the adventures of Erica Faure played by Julie de Bona (The Charity Bazaar, The Fighters…), a novelist returning to the village of her childhood who transforms into an amateur investigator to solve different crimes.
She will team up with police captain Patrick Saab, played by Grégory Fitoussi, (Engrenages, Cat’s Eyes), a somewhat taciturn cop, but who does not leave her indifferent. Théo Fernandez, Maud Baecker, Hubert Delattre and Gérémy Crédeville will also be in the cast of the series filmed on the Landes coast, near Hossegor.
“White Lotus”, February 17
After Hawaii and Sicily, White Lotus will take us to Thailand on February 17 for a new season which promises to be enjoyable. Composed of eight episodes to discover every Monday on Max, the anthology series created by Mike White recounts the adventures of wealthy clients and hotel employees during a week of vacation in various luxury establishments around the world.
If the previous seasons had explored the characters’ relationships with money and then with sex, this new version filmed at the Four Seasons in Koh Samui will look at our relationship with spirituality and death. On the casting side, we will meet Walton Goggins (Fallout), Leslie Bibb (Sex Education), Carrie Coon (The Gilded Age), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Parker Posey (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Boys) or the Frenchwoman Charlotte Le Bon.
“The Last of Us”, printemps 2025
Season 1 was a real phenomenon. The Last of Us will return for a second season. Considered one of the best series of 2023, the fiction created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann brilliantly managed to adapt the famous video game of the same name.
This post-apocalyptic fable follows the story of Joel (Pedro Pascal), one of the survivors of a terrible pandemic that transformed half of humanity into zombies, responsible for ensuring the protection of Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a rebellious teenager who could hold the key to the cure to the virus.
The two actors are therefore back for this sequel based on the events of the second eponymous game, released in 2020, and which will take us back five years in time. This time, it is Ellie who should take the lead, as in the game where a dramatic event occurs that will change the heroine forever.
“Stranger Things”, courant 2025
All good things come to an end. After making us shiver and think for four seasons, Stranger Things will return for a final session in 2025. Netflix’s successful fantasy series (141 million cumulative views worldwide for season 4) should provide the answers to all the questions fans are asking.
These final eight episodes, thought of as eight films, will plunge us into the fall of 1987, four years after the debut of the series, and more than a year after season 4, revealed Netflix. While the dam between the real world and the Upside Down was blown and the town of Hawkins was devastated by an earthquake, we should know more about Max, killed by Vecna before being reanimated by Eleven.
This season should also focus on the fate of Will Byers. One thing is certain: the confrontation between Vecna and Eleven is not over… If we are to believe David Harbour, the end of the series should upset us. “When we read the end of the episode, about half the people started crying.”confided the interpreter of the sheriff Jim Hopper to the podcast “Happy Sad Confused”.

“HPI”, courant 2025
Get out the tissues. In 2025, TF1 will also broadcast the last season of HPI. The event series led by the sparkling Audrey Fleurot will bow out after setting audience records and inspiring Hollywood for a remake. Filming of the final episodes began in November in Hauts-de-France. The actress who we will soon see in a female version of The Count of Monte Cristo for TF1 slips for the last time into the skin of television’s most popular heroine.
These final eight episodes will explore Morgane and Karadec’s relationships now that they have become parents. While Adam Karadec turned out to be the father of her baby as she hoped, the young mother who (again) lost her house, arrived at the home of the father of her last born who graciously agreed to host. Rather gifted with chaos, insecurity and adversity, will our heroine finally manage to make things last?
“I am extremely happy with the success of the series”Audrey Fleurot told us a few weeks ago. “Intimately, it’s true that it really transformed me. It gave me a lot of self-confidence.”
