Launched in 2016, the “Nouvelle Frayère” project must, through a series of achievements, “sustainably transform and revitalize the neighborhood” recalls Joëlle Arimi, assistant in charge of education and early childhood. Who lists: “Three footbridges have already been built, which span the widened Frayère watercourse; the Caroubier car park was renovated in 2021.”
And then, beyond a new housing supply promised by the lessor Logirem, there is the infrastructure. To the north, the “Sport and health” center (file monitored by the urban area), dont “the work will begin at the end of June 2025” and which will include a sports and leisure area (dance halls, boxing rooms), a new city stadium, a health center (teleconsultations, pharmacy), nine social housing units, 84 parking spaces and a fitness area.
Delivered with a reserved garden in 2026
To the south, the “Cœur de Frayère” perimeter, with a cultural center (media library), the Simplon school, a municipal police station, a social center, local services (bakery, concierge) and an entrepreneurial center (Local Mission , PLIE, business incubator, etc.). There, the first sods are expected “at the beginning of the third quarter of 2025” for deliveries during 2026.
At the heart of this perimeter (in a building, common to the entrepreneurial center) a new crèche will emerge, with a capacity of 28 cradles, and accompanied by a reserved garden.
It will therefore complement the Elfes crèches (25 places) and Arc-en-Ciel and its 80 cradles. Estimated cost of the work: €1.6 million excluding tax. An amount to which the CAF – and this was the subject of the deliberation submitted to elected officials – will contribute to the tune of 367,500 e. Sum which is added to the 1.352 million in subsidies (ANRU, Drac, Region) already obtained by the municipality, as part of a global project where, ultimately, 87.62 million will have been invested.
