The Grand Prize for Erynn Ballard

Erynn Ballard and Selle Français Fave d’Authuit won the Grand Prix of the CSI 3* of San Miguel de Allende, yesterday in Mexico.

The Canadian has been riding this son of Cornet Obolensky (ex-Windows van het Costersveld) in international competition since March after he made his CSI debut under the saddle of Faustine Laferrerie, then was ridden by Nicolas Paillot. Yesterday, the couple was opposed to thirty-one other duos in Mexico. There were finally five of them in the jump-off, where we recorded three double clear rounds. The fastest was Erynn Ballard, who cut the cells in 37”27. She was well ahead of Emilie Conter and Trixie, since the Belgian finished her second run in 40”59. Bliss Heers completed the podium aboard Farinjo des Mec, a Selle Français descended, as his name suggests, from Carinjo*HDC, the former partner of Patrice Delaveau. The rider from Antidote de Mars crossed the finish line in 41”51.
