At the same time, there are fears that it could be uncomfortable – and dangerous – late on Saturday evening. There is a risk of severe weather. Lucas Risse, organizer of the public viewing at the Petrikirchhof in Soest, explains to our editorial team: “We regularly check the rain radar. It is currently supposed to start around 1 a.m. By then we will hopefully have dealt with everything. We are now checking every hour and will inform you if necessary!”

The same should apply to the public viewing at the Zavuga Festival on Lake Möhne. In the slaughterhouse, there is a covered alternative if necessary. Slaughterhouse boss Michael Osterhoff recently announced that the slaughterhouse beer garden will be equipped with a larger screen for the round of 16. “And we are also very well prepared for bad weather with the hall and the pub.” There is no public viewing in the Soest town hall today. The citizen riflemen are celebrating a lavish anniversary party there.
