Total domination. On a course made very slippery due to rain and mud, Loana Lecomte showed off her physical and driving qualities to win her first World Cup round of the season in Crans-Montana (Switzerland). On a course that she had not yet mastered.

The Haut-Savoyarde made the difference from the first meters by emerging at the head of the start loop thanks in particular to a slope where she made the first difference and ended up winning with a big lead: 48 seconds on her most close pursuer, the Swiss Alexandra Keller.

The French champion then managed her effort and even two competitors Puck Pieterse (Netherlands), finally third, Keller, came back within a few seconds, they never got into the wheels of the Annécienne who signed her tenth victory in World Cup.

“I’m so happy to be back on the podium,” explains Lecomte. I knew this was the process but it was difficult to respect it. I wanted to win but I didn’t think it was possible. »

An auspicious victory a few weeks before the Olympic Games (July 26 – August 12).
