Today the last darts competitions of 2024 are on the program! In the iconic Alexandra Palace, darts players take a shot at the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship. View Monday’s schedule below.
World Darts Championship 2025: schedule Monday, December 30
Two quarter-finalists are already certain: Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright. It will become clear on Monday which six other players will join the last eight.
The six eighth finals are divided into an afternoon and evening session. Just like in the third round, the matches are a best of 7 sets. This is Monday’s program:
Kevin Doets caused an absolute sensation on Sunday by reaching the eighth finals. He plays the first match of the afternoon, against Chris Dobey. ‘Hollywood’ hopes to reach the quarter-finals of the Darts World Cup for the third year in a row.
Next up, Robert Owen and Callan Rydz face each other. Rydz has already recorded an average of well over a hundred twice this World Cup. If he wins, he may face Van Gerwen in the quarter-finals.
The poster between Ricardo Pietreczko and Nathan Aspinall is also one to watch carefully. Aspinall called Pietreczko a ‘strange figure’ last week and made more remarkable statements about the German. We look forward to the answer from Pikachu.
The first match of the evening session is between Stephen Bunting and Luke Woodhouse. Woody already achieved his best ever result at a World Cup by reaching the eighth finals. The winner of this poster will play against the reborn Peter Wright in the quarter-finals on New Year’s Day.
Around 9:30 PM there is a one and a half Dutch chat on the program. Michael van Gerwen plays against Jeffrey de Graaf, a Dutchman who plays under the Swedish flag. Van Gerwen is the big favorite, but has been very inconsistent in his matches so far. De Graaf previously eliminated Gary Anderson.
Luke Littler and Ryan Joyce have the honor of playing the last PDC match of 2024. Joyce had to deal with a great Ryan Searle (100.97 average) in the previous round, but still won the match. If he takes that level to Monday, this could be an exciting end to the darts year.
