One of the tracks leads directly to Jean Butez, the Antwerp goalkeeper. A total agreement is very close to being reached. Even if Samba's departure is not confirmed, Lens has advanced its pawns.

The player had already agreed with Racing for some time. In Lens, a 3 and a half year contract awaits him.
The native of Lille, who also passed through Mouscron and has a fairly large size (1m89), is under contract until 2026. Aged 29, he has however been working as an understudy since the start of the season, the Belgian Senne Lammens being preferred. He has not had any starts in the league with 20 appearances on the bench, but he started 2 Belgian Cup matches. He participated in 5 Champions League group matches last season and therefore has solid experience.
In Lens, his arrival would lead to the departure of Brice Samba, probably for Rennes. Hervé Koffi would retain his status as 2nd goalkeeper.
