“We've already had this done to us, it's all a cover-up”castigated, Sunday December 29, on franceinfo, the deputy La France insoumise Eric Coquerel, while the new Minister of Economy and Finance Eric Lombard wishes to invite all political parties to come and talk to Bercy in the coming days, hoping that “compromises” will be found to promote the adoption of a budget.
“As chairman of the Finance Committee, if I am asked to go to Bercy, I will go to Bercy”he explained, adding that he was not expecting “not much” of such an invitation. “We can clearly see that it’s actually just a matter of changing the wrapping of the gift paper, inside, it’s the same budget”he stressed. For the LFI deputy, “They don’t know how to do it and say to themselves that they are going to repeat the Bercy dialogue”. In September 2022, Bruno Le Maire inaugurated the “dialogues of Bercy” with the aim of exchanging with parliamentarians “tracks” et “propositions” of the executive on the 2023 finance bill, ahead of the debates in the National Assembly and the Senate. “A so-called dialogue with the National Assembly and in the end we had almost the same budget as at the starting point”tackled Eric Coquerel.
“What I see is that we have a government which knows that its days are numbered and so they are trying to find a loophole at all costs to try not to be censored”continued the president of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly. “If Mr. Lombard really wants openings, he knows them”argued the LFI deputy, citing for example “indexation of tax to inflation”. “He can take up the proposals of the New Popular Front without the need for a kind of high mass which will once again be a cover-up”he warned.
