5 announcements to remember that concern streamers at TwitchCon

  • Le programme « Streamer Achievement »

Launched at TwitchCon in Rotterdam, the Streamer Achievement program rewards streamers who have reached significant milestones in their careers. They are measured by their hours watched: 5 million, 50 million and 250 million hours. A status will be given to each streamer at each milestone reached. “Building a community takes hard work, creativity and dedication, and becoming a Twitch Partner takes all of these qualities to the next level,” states a press release.

  • Presentation of Creator Clubs

Twitch is also introducing Creator Clubs, a new feature designed to connect streamers around common interests, with the aim of growing their communities. For now, two clubs are available from the end of July: DJ and IRL. These clubs will provide affiliates and partners with a dedicated space to share, learn and grow. Thanks to this new feature, content creators will have exclusive access to events, monthly workshops and a dedicated Discord server.

  • Application update

Twitch is also looking to improve user experience. An update to the mobile app now makes it easier to find content and engage in short interactions, which are essential for the 70% of new viewers who are starting their experience on mobile. In the coming months, Stories will also be available on the computer version.

Additionally, Twitch continues to encourage interaction between subscribers and streamers through Power-ups. It allows viewers to support their favorite creators by triggering special effects on their channels, such as sound alerts or voice transcriptions.

This new feature was already announced at TwitchCon 2023 in Las Vegas. It allows streamers to connect live with other content creators easily, with the aim of growing their community. Now, it will be possible to do so in just a few clicks.

  • Launch of the DJ program

A new category is emerging on Twitch, “DJs”, thanks to a partnership with copyright holders. This new option allows DJs to stream a wider range of music. Registrations open on August 1st and the music will be posted online on August 8th.
