On July 1, 2024, the CM2 students of the La Bressola du Vernet school in Perpignan won the poetry competition, organized on the occasion of “The Spring of Poets”.
“Grace” was unanimously acclaimed. The CM2s of the Bressola school in Le Vernet won the poetry competition organized as part of the national operation “the spring of poets” thanks to their poem entitled “Grace”.
The Catalan students in the class wrote the poem in French ” Grace is all around us, reminding us of the beauty of life“A collective work, which brought them closer, with the ambition of spreading a message of peace. Two young girls get up to translate the poem into Catalan in front of their classmates and under the proud gaze of their teacher Rachelle.

“To love us, to eject us, in all lightness“, these verses recited by a student, resound in the class. The poem touched the judges, who decided to offer the future 6th graders an educational trip to the Canet aquarium.
At the same time, Fabrice Mayer, director of Kéolis Perpignan Méditerranée, Robert Piquet of ADATEEP 66 and Jean-Charles Moriconi, deputy vice-president for mobility, wanted to raise awareness among children about public transport. How to evacuate a bus, watch out for blind spots, safety on a bike and scooter, are topics that were discussed with the CM2s.
