Sales of new cars in Morocco stood at 82,286 units at the end of June 2024, up 1.06% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM).
By segment, new registrations of private vehicles (PV) fell by 0.24% to 74,048 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) recorded an increase of 14.54% to 8,238 units, AIVAM specifies in its monthly statistics.
The “Dacia” brand dominates the passenger car segment, with a market share of 26.65%, or 19,732 new registrations since the beginning of the year, followed by Renault which sold 11,657 units (market share of 15.74%) and Hyundai (5,933 units and 8.01% market share).

In terms of light commercial vehicles (LCVs), Renault sold 2,040 units, or 24.76% market share, ahead of Ford, which saw its sales climb to 1,138 units (13.81% market share) and DFSK (963 units for 11.69% market share).
On the premium side, Audi achieved a market share of 3.04% with 2,252 cars sold, ahead of BMW (a market share of 2.78% and 2,055 units) and Mercedes-Benz (a market share of 2.03% and 1,505 units).
For its part, Porsche has sold 354 units since the beginning of 2024, up 54.59% compared to the end of May 2023, while Jaguar’s sales have decreased by 15% to 51 cars sold.
For the month of June 2024 alone, sales statistics show 15,855 units sold for the passenger car segments and 1,513 for the light commercial vehicle segment, for a total of 17,368 vehicles, recording a decrease of 0.15% compared to June 2023.
