“We are very honored to be in the spotlight on this 58the Festival Off Avignon. Taiwan’s position on the international scene is very unique. Participating in this Festival allows us to show a country where artists are free to express their creations with vitality, talent and diversity. It is a source of pride to be able to show all the spectrums of Taiwanese arts,” confides Justin Chiu, representative of the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris. “Among all this extraordinary and magnificent tumult that the Festival represents, being able to escape a few thousand kilometers away, to the land of grace and deep feelings, expressed by the beauty of bodies, traversed by intoxicating music, what is more reassuring and refreshing?” says Anthea Sogno, director of the Condition des soies, which has been hosting Taiwanese companies since 2008.
