an agreement for the takeover finally signed, the club has an appointment with its new destiny on Wednesday

We should not rejoice too quickly, but an agreement has been signed between Céline Forte and Lionel Peluhet for the takeover of Limoges CSP. The club’s hearing was postponed to this Wednesday, June 12, at 4 p.m., according to a press release from the LNB.

It’s not yet the big WOW of relief, but a big step has been taken in that direction.

As we mentioned this Sunday morning, an agreement would indeed have been signed, this Saturday June 8 in the evening, between Céline Forte and Lionel Peluhet, after a day and a half of tough negotiations. But those involved in the matter want to remain very cautious. Documents are still being signed between the two parties and no one wants a final twist, a new change of heart from the Forte clan. No one therefore dares to speak out, neither the supporters, nor Lionel Peluhet who should wait until the club is definitively out of the woods.

All the lights would still be green, and the file sent overnight to the financial policeman of French basketball would be solid.

The information, in any case, was transmitted to the LNB which made it known in a press release this Sunday: “the DNCCG of the LNB received a free appeal from the Limoges CSP club”. She also specifies that she was informed “of a written and signed agreement to take control of SASP Limoges CSP by Mr. Lionel Peluhet”.

As a reminder, Lionel Peluhet, Intermarché executive, has been the initiator of the CSP’s main commercial partnership for sixteen years. More than a month ago, he presented an offer to recapitalize the club to the tune of 1.2 million euros allowing the CSP to leave with healthy finances for a new professional season.

While waiting for this hearing at the end of which a decision will be rendered, everyone is still holding their breath. Because it remains to be determined, in the coming days, the conditions of this resumption by Lionel Peluhet and the conditions which will be set by the basketball league for the Limougeaud club next season.
