The fourth round of the Charente-Maritime sailing race will take place between July 5 and 9

The Charente-Maritime sailing tour returns for a fourth edition from this Friday, July 5, 2024. For five days, the skippers will challenge each other in stages that will link the main maritime cities of the department and free events will be held throughout the department.

The Charente-Maritime tour will include two courses unpublished. “The Rally” and “The Regatta” which will connect five ports of the department and will be composed of the following four stages:

The Regatta

• Stages 1 : Royan / Saint-Denis d’Oleron
• Stages 2 : Saint-Denis d’Oleron / Rochefort
• Stages 3 : Rochefort / Saint-Martin de Re
• Stages 4: Saint-Martin de Re / La Rochelle

The Regatta

• Stages 1 : Royan / Saint-Denis d’Oleron
• Stages 2 : Saint-Denis d’Oleron / The Fleet
• Stages 3 : The Fleet / Boyardville
• Stages 4: Boyardville / La Rochelle

Free entertainment in the stopover towns

On the sidelines of this event and the race, every day, at the arrival ports, many free animations will take place. Sailing baptisms and nautical initiations will be offered free of charge.

• Friday July 5: on Quai L’Herminier, next to the Royan Harbor Master’s Office
• Saturday July 6: at the marina of Saint-Denis d’Oléron (Oléron Island)
• Sunday July 7: at the Vivres quay at the port of Rochefort or at the port of La Flotte (Île de Ré)
• Monday July 8: at the port of Boyardville (Oléron Island)
• Tuesday July 9: at the Bassin des Chalutiers (opposite the Aquarium) in La Rochelle.
