NFL: Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby and three other starters absent against the Browns (Raiders)

The Las Vegas Raiders will have to make do without receiver Davante Adams and quarterback hunter Maxx Crosby against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce confirmed Friday that both players will be out due to injuries. No return date has been set for the two Las Vegas stars.

Adams suffered a hamstring injury in practice Thursday and Crosby is still bothered by an ankle injury suffered in Week Two against the Baltimore Ravens. Adams had 209 receiving yards on 18 catches in three games this season. Crosby, for his part, amassed three quarterback sacks in three weeks of activity. This will be the first game he will miss since the start of his NFL career.

The Raiders also announced that three other starters would not play in Sunday’s game. Linebacker Divine Deablo, offensive lineman Thayer Munford and tight end Michael Mayer will not be in uniform.
