The company, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, saw its operations suspended at the end of August by a decision by judge Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF, for non-compliance with legal decisions linked to the deletion of several accounts accused of spreading false news, but also the fact that she no longer had a legal representative in Brazil.

The platform’s defense claims to have provided, last Saturday to the STF, the additional documents requested by Moraes, in particular the original powers of attorney designating the lawyer Rachel de Oliveira Villa Nova Conceiçao as the legal representative of the company; the list attesting to the payment of 18 million reals in fines for non-compliance with court decisions; and the blocking of nine accounts of individuals under investigation or accused of crimes on the platform.

The old Twitter has been suspended since August 31 in Latin America’s largest country, where it has around 22 million users. No deadline has yet been set for Alexandre de Moraes to comment on the reestablishment of X in Brazil.
