Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m., the Bernese will host Grasshopper Club Zurich at home. In the first seven rounds of the season, both teams had only one victory each. Both the Bernese and the Zurich residents will do everything to win the three points. We can therefore expect 90 exciting minutes.
YB is the last team in the current Super League season to obtain its first victory (before the 4-1 success in Winterthur, on the 7th day, the Bernese had 3 draws and 3 defeats). However, with his 6 points in 7 days of CSSL, YB still made the worst start of the Super League era – in the past, the Bernese had always obtained at least 8 points in 7 matches (in 2008 /09 and 2010/11).
Once again, the ‘Locusts’ start to the season is not good: their 5 points after 7 games mean that GC have only twice in the past performed so poorly at this stage of the Super League competition . Zurich had a start to the season as modest as in 2014/15 and last season.
Both teams are easily destabilized by conceding the opener. This season, Young Boys have already lost 9 points after leading. A small consolation for YB: only his next opponent, GC, lost even more points after leading the score this season, namely 10 points!
