Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense has confirmed that a military operation neutralized ten members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq. This operation took place more precisely in the regions of Hakourk and Gara.
In a statement, the ministry said: “The Turkish Armed Forces, with the unwavering support of our people, continue to fight terrorism with determination. Ten PKK terrorists, spotted in the Claw-Lock operation area as well as in the Hakourk and Gara regions, were neutralized. »
This information was relayed by the Anadolu media on their site, according to the original text written by Yusuf Soykan Bal and translated by Sanaa Amir.
The Turkish authorities reaffirm their objective of “destroying terrorism at its source”. The context of this operation is part of a series of military actions carried out by Turkey in neighboring territories, aimed at weakening the PKK, an organization considered terrorist by Ankara.
