This Monday, April 6, 2025 was a second start of the school year for the students of Bois du Verne since the Simone Veil nursery school opened its doors to welcome the 130 students, families, teachers in the presence of elected officials and human resources of the city.

“Since our arrival in 2014, we have been rebuilding the educational offering. In 2014, there were 16 schools with the Birds: which corresponds to a town of 30,000 inhabitants. The reorganization began under the Mathus area with the closure of La Sablière and Magny. We have continued this restructuring which has an educational and economic advantage.
The project took shape in September 2023 with the installation of the first straw bale symbolizing the spirit and materials used for construction.
« The school is a model of sustainable development, designed with ecological materials and innovative techniques. The building is a positive energy construction and contributes to the preservation of biodiversity, with exterior facilities adapted to the local environment, such as an educational garden and play areas.”
The establishment includes modern infrastructure: six spacious classrooms, rest rooms, a multimedia room, a large development-activity room, and premises for educational staff.
The total cost of this project: €6,115,370
The project was financed largely by public subsidies, representing 44% of the total investment (€2,223,191):
