Starting tomorrow, members of PS Plus services will be able to have fun with the new free games for the month of January. You will be able to play as one of the supervillains as they battle alien invaders. That’s not all, you can race at high speed with a racing game and finish it off with The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe game. Here is the list of games for this first month of the new year.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League | PS5
Take down the Justice League solo or in co-op with your friends in this third-person action-adventure shooter from Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman series: Arkham. Offering an original story set in a constantly evolving Metropolis, the game pits the four DC supervillains against alien invaders, but also against superheroes from the DC universe determined to destroy the city that they had nevertheless sworn to protect. Meanwhile, the members of the Suicide Squad must remember the deadly explosives implanted in their heads, as they could go off at the slightest sign of defiance. Each of them has unique techniques and enhanced movement skills to freely explore the dynamic open world of Metropolis. They also have a whole range of customizable weapons and skills to master.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered | PS4
Feel the thrill of the chase and the adrenaline of escape in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. Let your sense of speed shine as a cop or outlaw behind the wheel of the world’s fastest supercars. Choose your side, trying to escape the police or stop the outlaws. Use your tactical arsenal in a thrilling, competitive and social racing experience. Between enhanced graphics, cross-platform multiplayer (including asynchronous competition based on the Autolog system) and all major downloadable content, find the ultimate edition of Criterion Games’ first critically acclaimed Need for Speed. The chase picks up again.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe | PS4, PS5
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded and reimagined version of the critically acclaimed and award-winning indie game The Stanley Parable, released in 2013. You’ll find everything that made the original The Stanley so special Parable, impeccably preserved since 2013. But The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe goes further, significantly expanding the world of the original version with new content, choices and secrets to discover. The maze just got a lot bigger. Additionally, the graphics have been updated, taking advantage of modern technology while faithfully preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility options have also been added, including localization of texts present in the game world, a color blind mode and sensitive content warnings. And once again, Kevan Brighting’s impeccable vocal performance will accompany you along the way.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add these three games from January 7 to February 3. Personally I must admit that I did not hate the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, however although NFS Hot Pursuit and The Stanley Parable are good games, I find that the offer of the month leaves a little to be desired. What do you think?
