Announced several weeks ago, the film project The Lord of the Rings : The Hunt for Gollum continues to generate a lot of ink. Andy Serkis has also made an announcement that will not leave fans indifferent.

It’s currently Christmas (almost) every day for fantasy fans. While many of us are waiting for episode 3 of season 2 of House of the Dragon, FromSoftware fans have learned that Hidetaka Miyazaki has teased a movie Fire Ring a few days after the release of the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. For its part, Warner Bros. Discovery is working to get the saga back on track. The Lord of the Rings by producing ambitious projects, including the animated film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrimthe first images of which we discovered recently.
But Warner Bros.’ biggest project remains the diptych of films directed by Andy Serkis and produced by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. The first film, whose working title is The Hunt for Gollumwill have the delicate mission of telling events that have not been told by Peter Jackson’s films : the hunt for Gollum by Sauron, then by Gandalf and Aragorn. As fans wonder about the potential returns of Ian McKellen and Viggo Mortensen in their respective roles, Andy Serkis took the opportunity of his appearance at ACE Superhero Comic Con to turn up the heat.
I will say that it will be a big investigation into the character of Gollum. There may be characters that we know who could return. I won’t say more.
You would have understood it, The Hunt for Gollum is likely to bring back many fans who are very popular with fans. While the time is for speculation, It is assumed that in addition to Gandalf and Aragorn, Elrond and Galadriel will be there.. Radagast, Frodo and Bilbo could also make an appearance. Be careful though, we do not know if the characters will be recast or not.
