Monday January 6, 2025, the Meuse department is placed on orange alert by Météo France. Wind gusts are expected up to over 100 km/h.
“Following the transition to orange alert vigilance from Météo France in Aisne, Marne, Ardennes and Meuse, violent winds could disrupt train and bus traffic in the Grand Est region this Monday”announces the SNCF in a press release.
Thus, due to the strong winds, speed limits will be put in place and a preventive interruption of traffic in the South-Meuse zone – Nancy – Bar-le-Duc / Nancy – Neufchâteau axes – at the beginning of the afternoon, between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. “These measures are intended to guarantee the safety of travelers and staff,” adds the SNCF.
