This Tuesday, the transfer market officially opened its doors in Belgium. Several teams will take advantage of this period to make some transactions.
Leuven could be one of the most active Belgian clubs this winter. The Chris Coleman-led team finished 2024 well with a 6/9 and hope to start 2025 in similar fashion.
OHL could, however, see one of its best players leave in the days to come. Indeed, Voetbal International reports that the Leuven club is on the verge of losing Ezechiel Banzuzi.
The Dutch midfielder, also targeted by Anderlecht in the summer of 2023, preferred to join OHL to continue his progress. A profitable choice because since his arrival in Belgium, the 19-year-old player has improved week after week.
Banzuzi approaches AS Monaco
This has not gone unnoticed abroad. Indeed, AS Monaco has fallen under the spell of Banzuzi and has even already found a personal agreement with the Dutchman. The Monegasque club must now find common ground with Louvain to finalize the transfer. According to VI, OHL is asking for no less than 13 million euros to let its midfielder leave.
West Ham has not said its last word
Note that West Ham is still interested and could make a last minute offer to win the bet.
