The Community of Rural Communes of Entre-deux-Mers is launching the 4th edition of its positive eating challenge from January 31 to early June 2025. The objective? Encourage the inhabitants of the region, particularly Sauveterre-de-Guyenne (Gironde) to consume more organic and local productswhile controlling their food budget.
Free support
Around 40 households (families, couples, single people or roommates) in the area are invited to take up the challenge by changing their eating habits for several months. “Our previous editions showed that it was possible to double your consumption of organic and local products while slightly reducing your budget per person,” explains Marine Hurteau, project manager.
A program of free workshops will be offered to participants to help them achieve these objectives: ccook healthy and balanced meals at a lower cost, get organized to save time, garden easily, discover local products and short circuits… Regular monitoring of expenses, consumption of labeled products and food waste will make it possible to evaluate everyone's progress.
Cakes to win
The key for the best of them: gifts will reward the most virtuous homes in terms of organic, local consumption and reduction of waste. A previous edition even saw participants limit the impact of inflation on their budget despite their dietary transition.
Registrations are open until mid-January on the coeur-entre-2-mers.com website. Families, couples, singles or roommates: all profiles are welcome to try to win this delicious and clever challenge!
