Morocco football team: the infirmary is emptying

This document, drawn up by the selection doctor, Christophe Baudot, takes stock of the state of health of Chadi Riad, Amine Adli, Sofiane Diop and Youssef Belamri, all absent in recent months due to injury.

The news is rather encouraging for the Moroccan coach. Bayer Leverkusen striker Amine Adli is close to completing his rehabilitation. His trainer, Xabi Alonso, hopes to see him return to the field very soon. A return to form which could open the doors to the selection for him from the next meeting, even if the competition promises to be tough for the winger position.

Chadi Riad, young Crystal Palace defender, is also in the rehabilitation phase. Considered a player of the future, he should be able to return to competition in March. Walid Regragui, who maintained contact with him during his convalescence, is counting on him to reinforce the Moroccan rearguard.

Sofiane Diop, attacking midfielder for OGC , has also returned to the field. His recent performances have reassured Walid Regragui about his ability to return to his best level. Good news for the Atlas Lions who will be able to count on his talent during the next rounds.

These returns come at the right time for Walid Regragui. The Moroccan national team will face two important matches against Niger and Tanzania next March, counting for the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The objective is clear: maintain first place in Group E. With the return of its players injured, the Moroccan coach now has all the weapons to achieve this objective.
