The decision is not a surprise even if it comes well in advance: the Haute-Corse prefecture has banned the travel of OGC Nice supporters for the SC Bastia – OGC Nice match on January 14 as part of of the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
In question, the multiple antecedents between supporters of the two camps, whose enmity is as deep as it is historical, but also the anti-Niçoise banner displayed during Corte – OGC Nice on December 21, as well as the throwing of objects that took place during this match.
The movement of Nice supporters will thus be prohibited from Monday 6 p.m. to Wednesday 6 a.m., the match taking place on Tuesday January 14 at 8:45 p.m.
