The image is impressive. On the A1 motorway near Lesquin, very close to Lille (North), a patrol van of the road direction (DIR North) was violently hit by a motorist on the night of Saturday 28 to Sunday 29 December 2024. The shock was violent.

The teams had positioned themselves to protect a broken down vehicle when the accident occurred, around 2 a.m. Enough to arouse the anger of the North DIR.
“Fortunately, no DIR agent was injured. But we deplore and condemn, once again, the irresponsible behavior of certain users endangering our road agents,” says the institution.
Still according to the North DIR, it is “the vigilance and professionalism of the agents which once again made it possible to avoid the involvement of personnel in this type of accident, in particular thanks to compliance with safety instructions regarding the installation of marking”.
