The year 2025 is fast approaching. It's time to take stock of the upcoming school holidays for students in Lyon and its metropolis (zone A). Bad news for them, spring break falls at the same time as a bridge.

The students of the zone A (Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers) will be on winter vacation from Saturday February 22, 2025, for a return to school on Monday March 10, 2025.

Zone B will be on vacation from Saturday February 8, 2025, for a return to school on Monday February 24, 2025 and zone C from Saturday February 15, 2025, for a return to school on Monday March 3, 2025.

On vacation during the May 1st bridge…

Regarding spring break 2025, zone A may already be disappointed. They will be from Saturday April 19, 2025 to Sunday May 4, 2025. Students will therefore not be able to take advantage of the Thursday May 1, 2025a holiday due to Labor Day, and which offers the opportunity to take advantage of a four-day weekend (if parents leave on Friday May 2). For these students, May 1st actually falls during their vacation.

Zone B will be on vacation from Saturday April 5, 2025, returning to school on Tuesday April 22, 2025. Zone C: from Saturday April 12, 2025 to Sunday April 27, 2025.

School year 2025-2026

The start of the school year in Lyon and throughout France is scheduled for Monday September 1, 2025.

The All Saints' Day holidays will take place from Saturday October 18, 2025, for a return to school on Monday, November 3, 2025. While the Christmas holidays will take place from Saturday, December 20, 2025, for a return to school on Monday, January 5, 2026.
