Legislative elections: Maximi (LFI) in the lead in the Clermont-Cournon constituency, towards a three-way race in the second round?

Outgoing MP Marianne Maximi (LFI, New Popular Front) is expected to come out on top in the first round of the legislative elections this Sunday in the first constituency of Puy-de-Dôme (Clermont-Cournon), where there is a three-way race in the second round with Louis Clément (RN) and Hervé Prononce (Ensemble).

34.50% in 2022, almost 40% in 2024? As two years ago, Marianne Maximi (LFI, New Popular Front) would be, according to the first returns from the polls, largely in the lead in the first round of the legislative elections in the constituency of Clermont-Cournon. Her result is currently between 38/39% of the votes.

The results are not yet official and there are still a few offices missing, but the outgoing MP, candidate for the Left Rally, would be ahead of the National Rally candidate Louis Clément and the Ensemble candidate Hervé Prononce (Horizons). With approximately 26% and 24% of the votes respectively, according to initial estimates, both are in a position to remain in the second round, which would therefore result in a three-way contest if neither withdraws.

Marianne Maximi’s first reaction to a hundred supporters gathered at her campaign office this Sunday evening in Clermont-Ferrand:
