They aim to improve the economic and social conditions of their inhabitants


As part of improving the economic and social conditions of the inhabitants of the mountainous areas of the Beni Mellal region, the wali of the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, Khatib El Hébil, accompanied by the president of the regional council, the president of the provincial council of Beni Mellal, a number of elected officials and heads of decentralized and security services, proceeded, Friday, June 28, 2024, to the inauguration of the Aghbala maternity hospital and the launch of a series of development projects to support and rehabilitate infrastructure in the local communities of Aghbala, Tizi Nesli, Nawour, Boutfarda and Ait Oum El Bakhth, for a total cost of approximately 163 million dirhams.


The wali and the delegation accompanying him inaugurated the maternity center of the territorial community of Aghbala, the construction of which cost 6 million dirhams, within the framework of a partnership between the wilaya, the Saqat Foundation, the Rotary Club, the territorial community of Aghbala and the Regional Health Directorate, in order to improve the accessibility of pregnant women in mountainous areas to medical and therapeutic services.
A number of ongoing or planned projects were also presented, which aim to support and rehabilitate the infrastructure in the territorial municipalities of Aghbala, Boutfarda and Tizi Nesli. These projects, costing 33 million dirhams, financed by the budget of the Beni Mellal Regional Council, include the construction and equipment of water tanks and reservoirs in the villages of these communities, the development of roads and mountain trails, the solar electrification of certain roads in these communities and the construction of playgrounds for the inhabitants of the region.


In Tizi Nesli, the rehabilitation of the Tizi Nesli center was carried out at a cost of 13.9 million dirhams and the individual connection to the Tizi Nesli drinking water network was carried out at a cost of 10.66 million dirhams. These two projects are financed from the budget of the Regional Council.
In the commune of Nawour, the wali launched the rehabilitation of the centers of the territorial communities (with a budget of 11.37 million dirhams), Boutfarda (for a cost of 10.84 million dirhams) and Ait Oum El Bakhth (for a cost of 6.18 million dirhams), financed from the budget of the Regional Council.

In addition, projects currently being completed or scheduled to support and rehabilitate infrastructure in the local authorities of Nawour, Ait Oum El Bakhth, Deir El Ksiba, Tanougha and Tagzirt were also presented. These projects, costing 70.7 million dirhams, financed by the budget of the Beni Mellal Regional Council, involve the construction and equipment of cisterns and water reservoirs in the villages of the aforementioned local authorities, the construction of mountain roads, the solar electrification of certain road axes and the construction of local playgrounds.
