First round of early legislative elections on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Polling stations in all 131 municipalities in the 3rd constituency of Calvados closed at 6 p.m.

In Lisieux, the RN candidate is ahead of the outgoing deputy by 156 votes

In Lisieux, where the results were officially announced just before 9 p.m., the candidate for the National Rally, Edouard Fauvage, came in first with 37.79% of the vote, ahead of the outgoing MP (Horizons) Jérémie Patrier-Leitus with 35.82%. Olivier Truffaut (New Left Front) finished third with 22.90% of the votes cast. Steven Mafiodo (Debout la France) came 4th with 2.07% of the vote. Michel Langevin (Lutte Ouvrière) with 1.77% came 5th, while Thierry-Paul Valette (Europe Equitable) brought up the rear with 0.19%.

In terms of votes, 156 ballots separate the RN candidate from the outgoing MP.

The same trend in Livarot

At office no. 1 in Livarot “Livarot centre-ville”, participation is 675 votes per 1,100 registered, or a rate of 61.5%.

Edouard Fauvage 276 votes, Jérémie Patrier-Leitus 248 votes and Olivier Truffaut 165 votes

Six candidates in the running

In this Lisieux-Falaise constituency, six candidates were in the running. The outgoing deputy Jérémie Patrier-Leitus (Horizons), Olivier Truffaut (New Popular Front), Edouard Fauvage (National Rally and LR), Thierry-Paul Valette (Europe Equitable), Michel Langevin (Lutte Ouvrière) and Steven Mafiodo (Debout la France ).

A record participation

At 5 p.m., participation in Calvados was 65.82% compared to 59.39% at the same time for the entire French territory. National participation up 20 points compared to 2022. It could be around 67.5%, or nearly 7 voters out of 10, a record almost 30 years old.

Mid-day participation

At midday, participation was 31.92% in Lisieux, 31.3% in Mézidon-Canon, 31% in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives and 33% in Livarot-Pays-d’Auge and Orbec. Above national and departmental figures
